Manual rewriting Requirements into steps takes a long time and sometimes it's just rephrasing some of description. It looks like perfect job for Rovo. To begin creating Test Cases, open Ask Rovo on right-top side of screen, then find "Test Case Architect".

Test Case Architect in Requirement work items

Designing Test Cases with Rovo Agent is also available immediately on the Requirement work items. In the Test Management panel, users can find the Create with Rovo Agent button and access the Architect quicker.

On opening our Rovo Agent will have some preprepared prompts, which could guide you step by step on how to use it.

Start with writing something like: "Prepare Test Cases for ATM-8...", this way Rovo will find ATM-8 (in this scenario that's requirement) and analyze all possible Test Cases that could be created

You can discuss further with Rovo to modify test cases and when you will decide that version generated by it is fine, write numbers of Test Cases, that should be generated (eg. "1, 3"). After that Rovo will show final version of Test Cases, which culd be confirmed. After confirming they'll be created.

New work items are created, filled and linked to requirement. Now you can modify them just like standard Test Cases.

Refining Test Cases with Test Case Architect

Test Case Architect is not only an agent for designing new Test Cases. It also helps you refine and update existing Test Cases when Requirements change.

How to access Test Case Refinement?

Users can open the Rovo Agent for refinement in three ways: from the main Ask Rovo button, from the Improve or Create with Rovo Agent buttons in the Test Management panel of a Test Case work item.

In the chat window, the right refinement prompt is already suggested for the user. However, the refinement can also started either by typing: “Refine this Test Case” or selecting the start option: “Can you refine a Test Case?”

What does this Agent do?

  1. Analyzes the current Test Case (especially the Test Steps and any linked Requirements)

  2. Proposes improved Test Steps

  3. Presents the suggested changes in a table format for user review

If the proposed changes are approved, the Agent will apply them to the Test Case and create a new version of the Test Steps instead of overwriting the existing ones.

This way ensures traceability of all changes made to the Test Steps and the ability to fastly update Test Cases as Requirements evolve.
