Whether you're a project lead or a team member, understanding these permissions is key to shaping issue templates and boosting your Atlassian project management.

Which permissions do you need to manage the Issue Templates library?

  1. You have to be a Jira Administrator with global permissions.

  2. You can share permissions with other Jira users. Go to Manage app, find Issue Templates Agent, and go to App setting (on the left sidebar).

  3. You are transferred to the Jira permission page. Now, find Issue Templates Agent - Manage templates, and manage it like others permissions.

Remember, to grant permission only for users, you need to evaluate it from time to time to keep it clean and updated.
