How to create a new scheduled issue in Scheduled Templates

When creating a template, you have to go through a short wizard divided into steps listed below.

Step

Description

Basic info

Provide the basic information like template name or type.

Details

Fill the target project, issue type, and system & custom fields values.

Subtasks (optional)

Create a list of templates for subtasks.

Stories (optional)

Create a list of template for stories in case of epic template.

Planner

Plan when the issue(s) in the selected project will be created

System and custom fields are from the Create Issue screen configuration.

Steps

  1. Click on the Apps in the top bar, choose Scheduled Templates

  2. The Templates section is active by default. You should now see a list of templates

  3. Click on the + Create template button

  4. Provide template name, description (optional), and choose a

  5. Select template availbaility (Public, Private, )

    1. Advanced options will appear for Private (and Cross-Project) types

  6. Provide restrictions in the advanced settings (optional - only for Private and Cross-Project)

  7. Select a project and issue type of newly created issue. Provide values for fields and

  8. Create or if needed

  9. Trigger type: schedule a template using one of four options. They are described in detail

  10. Click on the Save button

Result

A new template has been created. You can preview it on the template list.

When you select the cross-project template, the next steps in the dialogue have changed: the Planner option has disappeared. The changes are also in the Details step - let's get to it. As you can see, the form is simpler. Read more about this type of template .
