Bulk add holidays to SLA calendars

This page describe how to bulk add holidays to many SLA calendars.

The holidays added to your calendars in selected service desk projects allow to not count non-working days towards your SLAs. Natively Jira Service Desk offers a possibility to add them project-by-project for every calendar separately what can be tedious and time-consuming, especially if you have a lot of projects to configure.

Using our feature you have to only configure holidays and select to which service desk projects do you want to add them without moving from one screen to another. Everything is possible to configure in one place!

Please make sure to back up your database or create an XML backup in Jira before attempting this action.

How to add a holiday?

Steps

For all of the following procedures, you must be logged in as a user with the Jira Administrators global permission.

  1. Log in to your Jira instance

  2. Choose cog icon ⚙️ > Manage Apps

  3. Select Feature Bundle > Utils

  4. Select Bulk add holidays

  5. Configure holidays by editing the following fields:

    1. Holiday date: Define the date (in the following format: yyyy-mm-dd)

    2. Holiday name: Type the name

    3. Repeat yearly: Check this box if you'd like a holiday to repeat the following year

  6. Select to which service desk projects do you want to add holidays. Remember that it will apply to ALL calendars in the selected project

  7. Click Add to save the holidays

  8. Check the I understand the risk of this action box to confirm

  9. Click Update

Result

Configured holidays have been added to any existing holidays in all calendars in the selected service projects.
