While performing a manual merge, it is possible to synchronize future comments in the merged issues.
In the "Merge" window, you can simply tick off "Sync next comments" field.
Future comments on the merged issues will appear below, in the comments section.
Access the feature in the issue view by clicking Action menu and selecting "Sync comments".
In the new window, you can:
Choose Source Issues, Target Issues and Sync Direction.
Select whether you are synchronizing only public, internal or all comments. You can also change the visibility of the comments to internal or public. They can also remain with an original one.
To finish the process, click "Sync comments" button.
Next comments on linked issues will also appear in the comments section of the issue view.
This Panel, located on the right, is a quick outlook for issues (linked and merged) which are having their comments synchronized.
The view is divided into tabs "Synchronized from" and "Synchronized to".
It is also a place, where the user can remove synchronization of comments for selected issues.
Go to your project and Project Settings. Scroll down to Apps section and select Merge Issues.
In the Comments section you can enable or disable synchronization of next comments in the project.
Choose when to stop synchronization in the field right below.
By default, "When the source issue reaches status DONE category" is chosen.
Select "Never" if you would like to continue receiving information about comments in the resolved issues.
